Christians Linked in Mission is an ecumenical ministry for justice & hope. The ministry is based upon helping those in need, in a loving spirit, regardless of the circumstances. Their services and ministry reaches all parts of the world, including the islands. One particular ministry, Project # 38, in the Dominican Republic teaches basic health techniques to the women of the villages. Basic health issues such as the importance of clean drinking water, washing of hands and the value of basic medicine are taught. They also emphasize how to identify and correct health issues within their own villages on the island. We often tend to think only of helping someone by providing food, clothing, etc., but in many remote parts of the world, personal attention is needed to provide
education in order to prevent a chain of problems. Christians Linked in Mission is a designated charity of the Peter Mayer Fan Club. This ministry was founded by Peter's father.

Island Time donates to the American Cancer Society, in memory of Ginny Gillrup and John M. Mahoney. Each fought a long and courageous battle against cancer, and hopefully through donations enabling additional research, we can ease the suffering of those afflicted with this disease, and someday find a cure.

Contributions are made in memory of a personal journey through the afflictions of this disease. It is through donations, that assistance may be provided for respite care for the Alzheimer's patient, in an
effort to provide any amount of assistance and relief to the patients caregiver. In loving memory of Gail's mother, Willodean, the wonderful witty woman who unselfishly filled a caretakers role to perfection, with unconditional love and support, as she did in everything that she attempted in her life.
